WELCOME FRIENDS!

We’re glad you found us. We look forward to meeting you on Sunday. FCC is a place where God is worshiped and the Gospel is preached, because God’s plan to save people out of their sin and redeem them to Himself is the only hope for people. Our purpose statement is: FCC Exists to Equip Everyone for Spiritual Maturity and Fruitfulness. Please check out our beliefs.

In addition, you may have a few other questions before you come. We hope the answers are provided below. If not, give us a call or send us an email. Contact the church at staff@fccde.org. We would love to answer any question you have.

What’s the preaching like at FCC?
Our pastors and elders preach the Word of God in a very practical way with an emphasis on how it applies to life. We have been blessed to see lives changed by the Holy Spirit through the preaching at FCC. Please listen to a few samples on our sermons page.

What kind of music do you have in your worship services?
All of our music is selected for its scriptural content and its connection to the message that is preached that day. Our 11:00 AM service is a blend of contemporary Christian music and hymns led by a worship team. The 8:30 AM service is typically more traditional, using God-centered hymns led by a song leader. In both services you will see that our people sing and worship with great enthusiasm.

Do you have childcare? Is it secure? Are background checks done?
Nursery (newborn –24 months) is provided during all our services. In addition we provide Children’s Church during the 11:00 AM service for children up through Kindergarten. All children are signed into our children’s ministries via computer sign up. The child is given a name tag. Only you are permitted to retrieve your child after the service. (The welcome center can help you with this process.) Background checks are done for each of our childcare workers.

Are my children allowed to stay in service?
Yes, certainly! While we do have nursery during all our services and Children’s Church during our 11:00 service, we want you and your children to be comfortable in using these ministries. Also, our lobby provides seating and a video feed of the service if you prefer to stay there with your child, if you are afraid of possible distractions.

What version of the Bible do you use?
We are glad you are reading your Bible. Our pew Bible is the New King James Version. But throughout the congregation many versions are represented and respected.

Where do I park?
Our church is on the south bound side of Route 13 (South DuPont Highway). The parking lot entrance is immediately past Johnny Janosik Furniture. In addition, you may park in the Department of Agriculture parking lot that immediate follows the church lot. You may enter this from Route 13 or from Old North Road.

Where do I go when I arrive?
If you stop by our welcome center, they can help you with whatever questions you may have. We look forward to welcoming you in any of these places.

Can I wear jeans? Do I have to wear a tie?
People feel welcome in whatever they are wearing.

How soon before service start time should I arrive to get a good seat?
Our 11:00 service draws a crowd. We suggest arriving at least 20 minutes before that service.

Are you going to ask me for money?
We do not expect visitors and friends to participate in giving, but as you become a regular attender, we trust you will grow in your understanding of the importance of giving sacrificially out of every area of your life. We hope that no one here gives out of obligation, but rather out of joy for the Lord’s work. These offerings help us as we seek to keep our ministries running well. In addition it gives us opportunity to support missionaries throughout the world.

Will you make me stand and introduce my family?
No! But you will most likely be greeted by very friendly people who are glad you are here. We encourage you to stop at our visitor’s center. They can direct you as to where to go for our visitor’s reception, Connections small group, or children’s ministries. And they have a free gift for you!

Do you have a racial blend in your services?
People of any race or social status are welcomed with warmth and enthusiasm. We have people of many nationalities, races, and walks of life.
